Contact HockeyBetting.us: Corrections, Data Questions, Feedback

Found a number that looks off, or a sentence that does not add up? Tell us. The HockeyBetting.us desk reads every message, and corrections make the site better faster than anything else we do. Email works best: [email protected].

How to reach the HockeyBetting.us desk

The site has one contact channel, and it is email. Write to [email protected] from any address. There is no phone line, no chat and no postal address for reader mail. That is not about keeping people away. Most questions we get are about a specific number, and answering them well means pulling up the data for that team or that game, which is far easier in writing than on a call.

A good message is short and specific. Tell us the page, the team or player, and what you expected to see. If you think a figure is wrong and you know where the right one is published, include the link. We will check it against the official NHL feeds the site is built on.

Send a message from your mail app

Prefer a form? Pick a topic, write your message and press the button. It opens your own email program with the subject and text filled in, ready to send. Nothing is sent from this site and nothing is stored here.

No mail app? Copy your message and send it to [email protected].

What to write to us about

  • Corrections. A wrong number, a broken link, an outdated rule, a typo. These come first.
  • Data questions. How a figure on the power rankings is built, why a goalie shows a certain rest count on the goalie board, or what counts as a cover in the puck line data.
  • Feedback. A board you would like to see, a market guide that left you with a question, a tool that misbehaves on your phone.
  • The shootout game. Bugs, accessibility problems, or a goalie you are convinced is cheating. He is not, but tell us anyway.

Ideas for new data are especially welcome. Several things on the site started as reader questions, and the method notes on the methodology page are better because people asked us to explain them.

What we cannot answer

We do not give picks, and we do not say whether a bet is a good one. That holds for email the same way it holds on the site. We will gladly explain what a number means; deciding what to do with it is yours.

We also cannot help with sportsbook accounts, deposits, withdrawals or bonus terms. We are not a sportsbook and have no access to any account. Contact the sportsbook's support first. If the problem is still open after that, file a complaint with the gaming regulator in the state where you placed the bet. Licensed operators answer to that regulator, and that is where a dispute gets resolved.

If betting is the problem

If your message is really about betting getting out of hand, you do not have to wait for us. Call 1-800-GAMBLER, free and confidential at any hour. More options are on the responsible gambling page.

When to expect a reply

We reply within a few business days, Eastern time, and usually sooner. Corrections to live data jump the queue. During the busiest weeks of the schedule, a general question may take a little longer, but it will get an answer. If a correction is accepted, we fix it on the site and note the change. We do not reply to automated messages, mass mailings or offers to buy links.

One small request: if you are writing about a specific game, tell us the date. Hockey has games nearly every night, and "last night's game" can mean three different nights by the time we read it.

And if your question turns out to be one we have already answered, we will point you to the right place rather than send a form reply. The about page covers who runs the site and how it is funded, the sources page lists every feed and its refresh time, and the methodology notes explain each formula step by step. Between them they answer most of what lands in the inbox, but never hesitate to write if something there is unclear. An unclear explanation is a correction too, and we treat it like one: we rewrite the passage and thank whoever pointed it out.

Questions & answers

Questions,
answered.

Short answers to the questions readers ask most.

What is the best way to contact HockeyBetting.us?

Email the desk at [email protected], or use the short form below, which opens your own mail app with the subject filled in. There is no phone line and no postal address for reader mail. Email lets us check your question against the data before we answer.

How fast do you reply?

Usually within a few business days, Eastern time. Corrections to a live number go to the front of the line. Messages that arrive over a weekend or during a heavy stretch of the schedule may take a little longer, but every message from a real person is read.

Can you tell me who to bet on tonight?

No. We do not give picks or betting advice on specific games, by email or anywhere else. What we can do is explain a number on one of our boards, how it is computed, or how a market like the puck line settles. The decision on a bet stays with you.

I have a problem with my sportsbook account. Can you help?

We are not a sportsbook and cannot see or change any account. Start with the sportsbook's own support team. If that does not resolve it, file a complaint with the gaming regulator in the state where you placed the bet. Licensed operators have to answer to that regulator.

Will you share my email address?

No. We use your address only to reply to your message. The contact form does not send anything to our servers; it simply opens your mail app with a draft, and nothing leaves your device until you press send yourself.

Follow a team. Its rows light up on every board.
